Week 36 of Pregnancy
Your baby is almost ready to be born and no doubt you will be feeling ready. You may be carrying your baby lower as the baby may drop into the birth canal this week if it hasn't already. However, about 4 percent of the babies might not turn and stay in the breech position. Don't worry if your baby is breech, as there are plenty of things that you can do to encourage the baby to turn, including special exercises that you can learn from your healthcare provider.
Changes in your body at Week 36 of Pregnancy
The average weight gain to this point is approximately 25 to 30 pounds depending on your baby's size and your own body type. You should be consuming around 2400-2500 calories a day from eating healthy nutritious foods.
Changes you may experience during the 36th week of pregnancy include:
- Aches and pains
- Possible reduction in heartburn due to baby dropping and putting less pressure on your stomach
- Tiredness
- More weight gain

Some typical developments which occur during the 36th week of pregnancy are:
- Baby's skin is growing smooth soft
- Weight gain of an ounce a day
- Kidneys have fully developed
- Continuing fat gain is dimpling your baby's elbows and knees and forming creases in the neck and wrists.
