The Pitfalls of Early Pregnancy

Early pregnancy is a very special time in your pregnancy. It brings out the purpose of being a woman. It shows you the true meaning of life when you set out to bring one into this world. It is a time for trials and tests – time for you to buckle up for the ride of someone else’s lifetime! Here are some things you can do to help you get through these small issues you may face in your early pregnancy.

The First Few Weeks

There is no doubt that you are bound to feel some amount of morning sickness, or other kind of discomfort during your early pregnancy, but these are minor inconveniences associated with early signs of pregnancy which will pass with time. Your body will start to undergo many changes. These are changes, which are essential for you to go through the next nine months of your pregnancy. These changes manifest as early signs of pregnancy.

Witnessing early pregnancy symptoms, you will slowly begin to suspect that you are pregnant by the fourth week, and will surely be taking a pregnancy test around your sixth week. Once you are in fact pregnant, it’s time to start getting ready for some of the early signs of pregnancy and pregnancy symptoms associated with early pregnancy. By the first week, the hormone production of your placenta and endocrines will shoot up, and changes will already be taking place in your body.

Common Ailments During This Time

One of the most common early signs of pregnancy, morning sickness may begin to kick in by the seventh week, so be prepared for some quick trips to the loo! Morning sickness generally improves by the 13th or 14th week, and you are lucky if it does not trouble you too much. Ginger is supposed to help morning sickness, so you can try consuming it during this time.

There may be slight cramping as well during early pregnancy, along with two other friends called fatigue and dizziness which are most common early pregnancy symptoms. If this happens to you, you should avoid doing a lot of heavy lifting, and take as much rest as you can. The primary cause is lowered blood pressure, and a low blood count. High levels of progesterone also tend to make you sleepy. However, these will also begin to move out by the second trimester.

The odds are in favor of you suffering from heartburn or constipation at this time in your early pregnancy. Heartburn, a common sign among early signs of pregnancy is due to slower digestion, while constipation is due to increase in progesterone. All these issues will move out by the beginning of the second trimester. Don’t worry about these things.

The joy of feeling your baby move for the first time, and hear it’s tiny heart beating. These are things you will never forget. This is what you will cherish forever. The joy of bringing life into this world is a unique experience and all the minor discomforts associated with early pregnancy symptoms are negligible when compared to this unmatched joy. Cherish it.
