For many women the first trimester is the most difficult time at work. You may be battling fatigue and nausea of the time, while possibly trying to hide this from employers and colleagues. There are several practical measures you can take to help you get through these months.

Staying Comfortable At Work

The excitement of being pregnant can dissipate with the onslaught of morning sickness and fatigue that accompanies early pregnancy for many women. This is particularly true if you are trying to maintain your composure at work, especially if no one knows you are pregnant. There are measures you can take to keep as comfortable and there fore as productive as possible, and also to take care of your growing baby.

Morning sickness For some women, nausea can last all day. Your diet and some medical interventions can help control morning these weeks, try to do all you can to maintain your energy. You might find you need to go to bed earlier than usual to get enough sleep each night. Work stress may be unavoidable, but it is exhausting. Do all that you can to minimize your every day stresses. Regular exercise and a good diet can help, as can pampering your self with treatments such as massage and reflexology.
