Why Exercise During Pregnancy is So Important

Are you ready? FinallyÂ… Ready? Your career is going well. You're married and you know you want to have children, but you wonder if the time is right. You realize that things will never be perfect, but you also realize that you're not getting any younger. No one wants to jump into parenthood, especially if the time is not right. After all, this is a major decision to be made as a couple. Naturally, this undertaking will be especially burdensome for the wifeÂ… for the first 9 months that is. She will experience the aches and pains, the heat flashes, the whole nine yards, not to mention the grouchy moods, which the husband will probably share. LOL.

Have you considered exercise during pregnancy? If you currently have an exercise routine this can change quite a bit. Do you know anything about exercise during pregnancy? Do you think it's wise? Opinions on this subject differ greatly, but regardless of your preconceived notions, nowadays it is highly recommended.

Why? Just take a look at the changes a woman's body goes through during the different trimesters. She not only gains a significant amount of weight for the baby, but the body itself becomes way out of shape. This is something that can and should be avoided for mother's sake!

I remember that one of the main things my wife complained about was her decrease in overall body strength. She said it was so much easier for her to have a child at the age of 25 than it was at 35. Duh? Because of a lack of exercise, those muscles had become much weaker. This is precisely why exercise during pregnancy is so vitally important. Exercising during pregnancy will strengthen your body, prepare it for that big dayÂ… the day of delivery, and cut down on pain and complications!

If you'll exercise during your pregnancy, you'll also benefit the unborn baby! You can adopt a few daily fitness regimes that you can do in the privacy of your own home, or get outdoors and just do some walking. Some fresh air and an increased heart rate can do wonders for your sense of well being.
