This date is approximately forty weeks from the arrival of your last period.

A semester or trimester refers to one of the total three parts in which the overall period of pregnancy is divided. The period from the first week of the pregnancy to the twelfth week is called the first trimester. Second trimester is the period of pregnancy from the thirteenth week to the twenty-sixth week. The period from the twenty-sixth week to the birth of the child is known as the third trimester. The period between the 39th week and the 42nd week is also called the critical period.
