Pregnancy- up and down's(part two)

In part one of this article, we have covered some of the up's of pregnancy and one down. It is now time to discuss more about the more unpleasant part of pregnancy. We shall talk about the other discomfort problems while pregnant.

Next on the list would be the back pains. As further as the pregnancy develops, so do the back pains. Almost half of the pregnant women experience these sort of pains. The pain is usually traced at the lower back and usuallyhas a tendency to get worse as the pregnancy progresses. The reason back pain is present at a pregnant woman is because of her weight gain and of the baby's weight. These two factors tend to put a big amount of stress on the woman's back.Another motive for these sort of pains is the hormones. Usually one sort of hormone, called relaxin, has the role to soften up the muscles for labour. When this happens, at pregnant women, pains appear because the back does not get the same supportit used to.

The thing to do in cases like this is to either wear a belt around the belly, to relieve stress on your back, to sleep with your knees elevated or just take a swim, so your extra weight can be carried by water and therefor the back relieved of any pressure. There are unfortunately cases when the back pain is accompanied by weakness in the legs or pins, the best thing to do is see a doctor. The nerve in the back may then be affected.

Another down to being pregnant is the attack of hemorrhoids. Almost one third of the women who are pregnant experience this. Hemorrhoids apear because of weak circulation of the blood in the lower extremities. They can be found in around the rectum area, are very itchy and usually cause pain or bleeding. A woman may face this horrible problem in her third trimester of pregnancy.

If you are one of the women suffering from hemorrhoids, the thing to do is treat them with backing soda. One must only apply this straight on the hemorrhoids. This problem usually goes away after birth, so you do not have to be very alarmed. But just to be sure, try to drink lots of water and eat fiber, in orderto prevent constipation, which make hemorrhoids worse. But as statistics show it, constipation is unofotunately one of the top discomforts in pregnant women.

This problem is the cause of the digestive system, which has a tendency to move too slow. The two pregnancy hormones that make this problem happen are estrogen and progesterone. They slow down the movement of food, which means that aliments stay longer in your stomach an intestines, making it harder forthe woman to use the bathroom. As I have said before, adding fibre and plenty of water to the pregnant' s diet can soften up the problem. Making a lot of exercise is also very beneficial. If pains tend to get worse, one should see the doctor right away.

Two of the other discomforts that may happen are indigestion or heartburn. Indigestion usually happen in the later stages of pregnancy. The reason for this is the pressure applied by the uterus. To avoid as much as possible these problems, the soon to be mother should eat smaller meals and more frequently.
